Parlare
A downloadable app for Windows
Parlare is an app that teaches gender neutral pronouns, covering they/them, several neopronouns, and basic etiquette. We intend it to be a tool for allies to improve social inclusion for their trans|nonbinary|agender friends, colleagues, and loved ones.
This is version 1.0: it includes:
- fully-voiced practice dialogues and detailed descriptions of five sets of pronouns
- they/them, xe/xem, ze/zir and ze/hir, e/em, and fae/faer
- general information about pronouns, how they relate to gender, and contemporary etiquette
- Pronountheus, a final boss who makes you practice what you have learned
Parlare was developed in 2021 by Franny Howes (e/em), Hal Werst (she/they), and Brennen Thacker (he/they).
